Custody Issues

One of the most difficult aspects of divorce involves custody of children.  Oftentimes, divorcing parents are angry and distrustful of each other, strongly disagreeing over custody of their children.  Psychotherapists may be helpful in assessing needs of the child or children and the abilities of the parents to care for both the physical and emotional needs during difficult transitions experienced by all parties during separation or divorce.

A psychotherapist may provide recommendations to both parents so as to create environments as solid and stable as possible for the children during the transition periods.
