Death & Dying Issues

Those who are terminally ill, their families and surviving family members of a loved one who has died must all face the grieving process in their own way. There is not one 'right way' to grieve, but there are 'stages of grief' through which we travel.

These stages include: shock/denial, anger, bargaining, sadness/depression/true grief, and acceptance/resolution.

If a stage is missed or one 'gets stuck' for an extended period of time in a stage, counseling with someone experienced in grief therapy is recommended.
