Employment Issues
(Work/Job Loss, Issues Related to Career/Job Change or Dissatisfaction, etc.)

Employment issues are not just related to an individual's job, but also includes the attitudes, roles, relationships and endeavors related to work. Employment counseling takes into account these factors as well as the dramatic changes occurring in today's workplaces. Along with these transformations come unprecedented demands and stressors. Being 'laid off', or the fear of it, excessive workloads as companies 'downsize', demanding bosses, occupational burnout, family expectations, and competition between young and aging populations all contribute to the problem. These and related issues are addressed in counseling along with effective coping strategies and interventions helpful in alleviating stress and work-related demands.
