Gay and Lesbian Issues
Being "different' in our society often leads to pressure to conform.  This frequently creates a pressure situation to hide whatever 'secret' they have.  This may lead to depression, anger and guilt.  Gay and Lesbian clients often need help to come to terms with personal, family and relationship issues.  Therapy may provide a place to explore what may be painful or confusing topics in a safe therapeutic and professional environment.  Confidentiality and compassion are the keys to establishing the rapport necessary to address these issues.
