When a person experiences loss, either through death of a loved one or acquaintance, loss of physical or mental ability, financial or employmnt loss or relationship loss, a grieving process begins. Feelings may include shock, anger, negotiation, helplessness, depression and healing.
It is often difficult to address the grief issues individually, or even in a normally caring family environment, if all members are addressing grief, but each in a different method.
Sometimes having the support and insights of a counselor will help a person understand the process and be better able to move forward after the life-impacting loss they've experienced.
