Harassment Resolution and Issues

Harassment is the process of being bothered, disturbed or tormented persistently.  It involves at least two or more people and is relationship damaging.  Harassment may result in legal issues or action.

The individual being harassed may seek professional counseling in an effort to learn to set boundaries, communicate boundaries clearly, expect respectful treatment and to consider effective options for action when boundaries are not respected or harassment continues.

The person who, intentionally or unintentionally, persistently bothers or torments others may also learn to meet their needs in a beneficial, more productive manner.  Counseling empowers both parties to find more effective means of obtaining resolution.  Counselors trained in mediation or communication skills may also help avoid costly litigation.
