Many believe school violence is based upon the following: Greater pressure on students to succeed at higher levels, school overcrowding, teachers with heavier class loads (which allow less personal interaction and supervision of students), children gaining easy access to weapons, internet 'hate-sites' or sites which give instructions on building bombs, weaponry or anger expression methods, we see an increase in school violence. Other issues contribute, such as feelings of insecurity, racial hatred, class distinctions, families where little parental involvement is shown, or even the violence of our own society, expressed through children. Professionals help teach children, families and schools methods to diffuse anger, redirect anger, and deal with stress, failure & rejection by peers or family.
